Colin Appell

Colin joined Vawter Financial as an intern during his sophomore year at The Ohio State University. Now in his senior year, he will soon graduate with a degree in Finance and minors in Financial Planning and Economics. After graduation, he plans to take the CFP® exam as he continues his journey to becoming a Certified Financial Planner™. 

Over his time with VF, Colin has loved getting to know clients and learning how to apply financial planning strategies both in his own life and for others. He especially enjoys helping friends navigate their finances as they start their careers, finding fulfillment in putting them on the right path toward their goals. 

A Columbus native, Colin was born and raised in New Albany, Ohio. He now lives on campus with six of his best friends and enjoys balancing student life with time spent back home visiting family and his dog. Outside of financial planning, Colin enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, and competing in adult-league hockey at the Chiller Ice Rinks. He’s also an avid fan of the Buckeyes, Blue Jackets, and Browns.
