James Hu

James graduated from The Ohio State University in 2019. Before joining Vawter Financial, he spent six years owning a food service business focused on hydroponic vertical farming. He brings that experience to his work in wealth management, along with a practical understanding of cash flow, business operations, and long-term planning.

James is currently completing online financial planning coursework through New York University as he works toward becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

James lives in Columbus with his wife, Mackenzie, and their two dogs, Scrappy and Waffle. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis and golf and spending time in the kitchen.
